Are there penalties for incorrect recycling?
We ask all residents at The Store House to dispose of their waste responsibly and use the correct bins provided in the refuse area.
Using the right bins helps keep the building clean and makes sure recyclable materials can be processed appropriately.
What happens if I use the wrong bin?
If waste facilities are used incorrectly, the Resident Team may need to address the issue. Repeated misuse of the waste facilities may result in the Resident Team contacting those involved to discuss the problem and remind residents of the correct procedures.
The aim is to help everyone use the facilities properly and prevent issues such as overflowing bins, contamination of recycling or rubbish being left in communal areas.
What if I'm unsure which bin to use?
If you're not sure where an item should go, check the signage in the refuse area or speak to the Resident Team for guidance.
Helpful tip
Taking a few seconds to check which bin you're using can help keep the waste facilities clean and make recycling more effective for everyone.
