What are my options if I need to leave early?

If your circumstances change and you need to leave The Store House before the official end date of your tenancy, your options will depend on the terms of your tenancy agreement and your individual circumstances.

Moving out early doesn't automatically bring your tenancy to an end, so it's important to speak to the Resident Team before making any arrangements.

What should I do if I need to leave early?

Contact the Resident Team as soon as you know that you may need to leave. They can explain the options available to you and let you know whether any notice, payments or other arrangements may apply.

Your tenancy agreement will set out the terms that apply to your tenancy, so it's important to check this before making plans.

Does moving out early mean I stop paying rent?

Not necessarily. If you have a fixed-term tenancy, you may remain responsible for rent until the tenancy ends unless a formal arrangement is agreed in accordance with your tenancy agreement.

Simply moving your belongings out or returning your key card doesn't automatically end your financial responsibilities under the tenancy.

Helpful tip

Don't just hand back your keys and assume your tenancy has ended. Always speak to the Resident Team first and confirm any arrangements in writing before making plans to leave early.
