Before moving out, you'll need to:
- Remove all personal belongings from your apartment.
- Empty cupboards, wardrobes and storage areas.
- Dispose of rubbish and recycling correctly.
- Leave your bedroom, bathroom and kitchen areas clean and tidy.
- Check that you've collected everything before you leave.
- Return your key card as instructed.
- Update your address with relevant organisations.
- Arrange mail redirection if required.
What happens to my apartment after I leave?
Once you've moved out, the apartment will be checked to make sure it has been left in the required condition. Any outstanding issues will be dealt with in accordance with your tenancy agreement.
Helpful tip
Don't leave everything until the final day. Start packing and arranging disposal or storage a few weeks before your move-out date, particularly if you're travelling or moving to another property.
If you're unsure about any part of the move-out process, speak to the Resident Team and they'll be happy to help.
