How can I dispute a deposit deduction?

If you disagree with a deduction from your Enclave deposit, you have the right to raise a dispute and have it reviewed fairly.

Steps to dispute

  1. Review the report: The resident team will share details of any deductions, along with evidence (such as inspection notes or photos).
  2. Respond in writing: If you disagree, reply by email to outline which deductions you contest and why.
  3. Provide evidence: Include your own supporting evidence where possible — for example, photos taken on move-out day or receipts for cleaning/repairs.
  4. Formal process: Deposits are protected by government-approved tenancy deposit schemes, which include a dispute resolution service if an agreement can’t be reached directly.

Helpful tip

Always take clear photos of the property on move-out day. They can be invaluable if you ever need to challenge deductions.
