How can I dispute a deposit deduction?
Enclave does not take deposit on any of our buildings, however additional charges may be added if there is damage beyond normal wear and tear, missing items, unpaid rent or bills, or if the property is not left clean and in good condition at the end of your tenancy. We’ll always provide a breakdown and evidence for any proposed charges.
If you disagree with a charge at the end of your tenancy, you can raise a dispute and have it reviewed fairly.
Steps to dispute
- Review the report: The resident team will share details of any deductions, along with evidence (such as inspection notes or photos).
- Respond in writing: If you disagree, reply by email to outline which deductions you contest and why.
- Provide evidence: Include your own supporting evidence where possible — for example, photos taken on move-out day or receipts for cleaning/repairs.
Helpful tip
Always take clear photos of the property on move-out day. They can be invaluable if you ever need to challenge charges.
