How do I set up mail forwarding after I move out?

To make sure you don’t miss important post after leaving Enclave, you’ll need to set up a mail forwarding service with the postal provider.

How to set it up

  • Royal Mail (UK): Apply online or at a Post Office branch for their Redirection service. You can choose forwarding for 3, 6, or 12 months.

  • Provide details: You’ll need your old Enclave address, your new address, and proof of identity.

  • Processing time: It can take a few days to activate, so arrange it in advance of your move-out date.

Why it matters

  • Ensures important documents (like bank letters, medical appointments, or official notices) reach you at your new address.

  • Protects against identity theft by reducing the chance of personal mail being left behind.

Helpful tip

Forwarding only redirects mail already sent. Be sure to update your address directly with banks, employers, and subscription services to avoid long-term reliance on redirection.
