What should I do before I move out?

Preparing properly before moving out of your Enclave home helps ensure a smooth handover and protects your deposit.

Give notice: Make sure you’ve submitted written notice in line with your tenancy agreement.
Arrange a move out inspection with the Resident Team.
Review your tenancy agreement: Check for any specific move-out requirements, such as cleaning standards or key returns.
Clean thoroughly: Your home should be cleaned to a professional standard before moving out. Pay attention to kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring. Enclave offer housekeeping services for an additional fee if required. Contact your Resident Team for more details.
Repair and restore: Ensure you return the property in its original condition.
Remove belongings: Clear all personal items, rubbish, and food from cupboards, fridges, and freezers.
Ensure you change your address for any mail, and provide the Resident Team with a forwarding address in case it's required.

Think of your move-out prep as reversing your move-in — leave your home as you found it, and you’ll minimise the risk of incurring any fees.
