What should I do before move-in day?

Preparing ahead will make your move into Enclave smooth and stress-free. There are a few key tasks to complete before your tenancy officially starts.

1. Complete all paperwork

  • Tenancy agreement: Ensure you’ve read, understood, and signed your tenancy agreement electronically.

  • Referencing: Make sure all referencing checks have been finalised.

  • Inventory: If you’re due to receive a pre-move inventory report, review it as soon as it’s available.

2. Make required payments

  • Tenancy deposit: Usually equal to five weeks’ rent, to be paid before move-in.

  • First month’s rent: Payable in advance, minus your holding deposit.

  • Any other agreed fees: Such as early-arrival services, if applicable.

3. Confirm your move-in date and time

The local team will provide your confirmed move-in date once all documents and payments are in place. This ensures the apartment is ready and your keys or access fobs are prepared.

4. Plan practical details

  • Utilities: Check whether utilities are included in your rent. If not, gather details of suppliers so you can set up accounts from day one.

  • Insurance: Consider arranging contents insurance to protect your personal belongings.

  • Moving logistics: Book movers or arrange transport, and if needed, ask the team about parking or lift access on the day.

5. Get in touch if you need help

If you’re unsure about any part of the process — from payments to utilities — reach out to the local Enclave enquiries team. They’ll ensure everything is ready so you can settle in smoothly.
