What should I do if I notice a safety issue?
If you notice a safety issue in your Enclave apartment or building, it’s important to report it straight away so it can be dealt with quickly and effectively.
Examples of safety issues
-
A smoke alarm or carbon monoxide detector not working.
-
Faulty electrical sockets, switches, or exposed wiring.
-
Gas smells or suspected leaks.
-
Blocked fire exits, damaged fire doors, or tampered safety equipment.
-
Water leaks that could cause electrical or structural risks.
What to do
-
Immediate danger: If you believe there’s an urgent risk (such as fire or gas leak), leave the building and call the emergency services first. Then inform the on-site team.
-
Non-emergencies: Report the issue through the resident portal or directly to the on-site team as soon as possible.
-
Provide details: Include a description of the problem and, if possible, photos. This helps the team assess and resolve it faster.
Helpful tip
Never try to fix safety-critical issues yourself. Always report them so trained staff or contractors can address them properly.
