Who is responsible for pest control?

Responsibility for pest control at Enclave depends on the cause of the problem and where it occurs.

Enclave’s responsibility

  • Building-wide issues: If pests are linked to the structure of the building or communal areas (e.g. drains, rubbish areas, or gaps in walls), Enclave will arrange and cover pest control.

  • Recurring infestations: If an issue affects multiple apartments or is caused by maintenance faults, the on-site team will manage treatment.

Resident’s responsibility

  • Inside your apartment: You’re expected to keep your home clean and hygienic. If pests are attracted by poor housekeeping (such as uncovered food or unemptied bins), you may be responsible for addressing it.

  • Minor treatments: For small, one-off problems (like the occasional ant or fly), residents are generally expected to manage them with standard household treatments.

  • Pet Care: Maintaining pet hygiene is essential in pet friendly buildings

Helpful tip

If you’re unsure who should handle the problem, always report it to the on-site team first. They’ll assess whether pest control is needed and confirm who is responsible for resolving it.
