Do I need to restore changes before moving out?
Yes — if you’ve made any approved changes to your Enclave apartment during your tenancy, you’ll usually need to restore the property to its original condition before moving out.
What this means
-
Decorating: If you painted or added wallpaper with permission, you’ll be expected to return walls to their original colour and finish.
-
Fixtures: Any shelves, mounts, or other installations must be removed, and the walls made good (filling and repainting if required).
-
Furniture: If you brought your own large items in place of Enclave’s, you’ll need to restore the original furnishings unless you’ve agreed otherwise.
Why restoration is required
-
To keep apartments consistent and ready for the next resident.
-
To ensure fair use and protect the condition of the property.
-
To avoid deductions from your tenancy deposit.
Helpful tip
If you’re unsure what needs restoring, ask the on-site team for guidance before your tenancy ends. They can confirm expectations so you have time to put everything right.
