How often are safety checks carried out?

Safety checks at Enclave are carried out regularly to ensure your home and the building remain compliant with regulations and safe for residents.

Types of checks

• Fire safety checks: Building fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency lighting are tested routinely, often weekly or monthly.

• Gas safety checks: If your apartment has gas appliances, an annual inspection is carried out by a qualified engineer.

• Electrical checks: Fixed wiring and electrical systems are tested at legally required intervals to confirm they are safe.

• Smoke and CO alarms: Tested before you move in, with residents encouraged to check them monthly.

Access to your apartment

For checks that require access to your home (such as gas or electrical inspections), you’ll always be given advance notice. These visits are quick and carried out by qualified professionals.

Helpful tip

You don’t need to arrange safety checks yourself — Enclave manages them for you. Your role is simply to provide access when needed and to promptly report any safety concerns in between.
