Is there a fire evacuation plan for the building?

Yes — every Enclave development has a fire evacuation plan in place, designed to keep residents safe in the event of an emergency. You’ll be informed of the procedure when you move in, and information is usually displayed in communal areas of the building.

What the plan includes

  • Evacuation routes: Clearly marked escape routes and emergency exits.

  • Assembly point: A designated safe area outside the building where residents should gather.

  • Alarm system: Instructions on what to do if you hear the fire alarm or discover a fire.

  • Stay-put policies: In some high-rise buildings, guidance may be to remain in your apartment unless directly affected, depending on fire safety design.

Your responsibilities

  • Familiarise yourself with the evacuation plan as soon as you move in.

  • Keep hallways, doors, and exits clear of personal belongings.

  • Never tamper with fire doors, alarms, or safety equipment.

  • Follow instructions from building staff or emergency services during an evacuation.

Helpful tip

Check the signage on your floor and in common areas for evacuation routes. If you’re unsure about the plan for your building, ask the on-site team for a copy or explanation.
