What items can I recycle?
Recycling rules at Enclave follow local council guidelines, so the exact list may vary slightly by location. However, most developments provide mixed recycling bins in the bin stores with clear signage.
Common recyclable items
- Paper & card: Newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes, envelopes, leaflets.
- Plastics: Plastic bottles, tubs, trays, and containers (usually rinsed clean).
- Metals: Drinks cans, food tins, foil, and empty aerosol cans.
- Glass: Bottles and jars (rinsed and lids removed if possible).
Not usually recyclable
- Food waste (unless separate food bins are provided).
- Plastic bags, film, or cling wrap.
- Polystyrene packaging.
- Nappies or sanitary products.
- Electrical items, batteries, or hazardous waste (these need special disposal).
Helpful tip
Always check the signs in your bin store, as local rules can differ. Sorting recycling properly ensures it’s collected and processed rather than rejected.
