• Give notice: Make sure you’ve submitted written notice in line with your tenancy agreement.
• Review your tenancy agreement: Check for any specific move-out requirements, such as cleaning standards or key returns.
• Clean thoroughly: Your home should be left in a clean and tidy condition. Pay attention to kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring.
• Repair and restore: Fix any minor damage (like filling small nail holes) and return the property to its original condition if you made changes.
• Remove belongings: Clear all personal items, rubbish, and food from cupboards, fridges, and freezers.
• Utilities and services: Take final meter readings if applicable and cancel or transfer any utility or broadband accounts.
