What should I do if an appliance isn’t working?

If one of your appliances at Enclave isn’t working properly, there are a few steps you can take before raising it with the on-site team.

First checks

  • Power supply: Make sure the appliance is plugged in and switched on at the wall.

  • Trip switches: Check your fuse box to see if a circuit has tripped. Reset if necessary.

  • Settings: Confirm you’ve selected the right programme or temperature — for example, washer-dryers won’t start if the door isn’t fully closed.

  • Filters and maintenance: Clean dishwasher or tumble-dryer filters regularly, as blockages can cause performance issues.

If it still doesn’t work

  • Report the issue through the resident portal or app, providing details and photos if possible.

  • Alternatively, let the on-site team know directly so they can arrange a maintenance inspection.

  • The team may try troubleshooting with you first, or they’ll organise a contractor to repair or replace the appliance if needed.

Helpful tip

Don’t attempt to carry out repairs yourself, as this could cause further damage or safety risks. Always contact the team if the problem doesn’t resolve after basic checks.
