Will I still need to pay rent if I move out early?
Yes — moving out early does not automatically end your responsibility to pay rent under your Enclave tenancy agreement.
How it works
-
Without a break clause: You’ll remain liable for rent until the tenancy officially ends, even if you hand back your keys before that date.
-
With a break clause: If your tenancy includes one, you can end the agreement early by giving the required notice. Rent will only be due up until the break clause date.
-
By agreement: If you need to leave early, you can sometimes negotiate with Enclave. This may involve paying rent until a replacement tenant is found or covering an agreed early termination fee.
Helpful tip
Never assume leaving early cancels your rent — always check your tenancy agreement or speak with the resident team to confirm your obligations.
