What should I do if important post arrives after I leave?
If important mail arrives at Enclave after you’ve moved out, it cannot be forwarded by the building team.
What will happen
-
Post is normally marked as “Return to Sender” and sent back to the sender.
-
Parcels or tracked deliveries may be returned to the courier if they cannot be accepted.
What you should do
-
Set up mail redirection with Royal Mail (or your local postal provider) before moving out, so important post is automatically sent to your new address.
-
Update your address with banks, utility providers, government services, and subscriptions as early as possible.
-
If you know a specific sender might send items late, contact them directly to give them your new address.
Helpful tip
If you realise after moving that you forgot to update a particular account, contact that organisation right away to avoid missing any further correspondence.
